Can't print from my Mac

I have installed a new router and now I can't print from my Mac... I'm using HP Deskjet 3636 and I should be able to connect with it through the wifi... I have restarted both printer and Mac.

Today my printer started to print by itself (without me doing anything) pages where it says "wi-fi direct pin code"... but this is not what I want. I want to be able print from my Mac without needing to switch to "wi-fi direct"... I want to stay on my current router and print through that.

I have no idea what to do... pls. help!

Recent macOS versions support only AirPrint-enabled printers and multifunction devices: About AirPrint - Apple Support.

There are hundreds of AirPrint-enabled HP DeskJet printers, but that particular model is not among them. It's possible the HP Deskjet 3636 is within a series of AirPrint-enabled HP DeskJet printers with similar model designations, but that's not explicitly indicated in Apple's documentation. HP's massively confusing naming scheme doesn't help.

If you were successfully able to use AirPrint in the past and now find yourself unable to due to the router change, then I suggest removing the printer from Printers & Scanners, and adding it again. The reason may be that your Mac is looking for the printer in a network location provided by your previous router, and it's not there any more.

When adding the printer be sure to select AirPrint. No drivers and no setup procedures are required for AirPrint, so if you find yourself going off in that direction you're headed the wrong way.
