keyboard keeps connecting and disconnecting

The wireless keyboard is permanently connecting/disconnecting making it impossible to write anything properly or to even use the Mac mini for that matter. It is not battery related, I’ve tested it with different kinds of brand new and fully charged batteries, the issue remains. I believe it’s a Bluetooth connection problem, or maybe some kind of intermittent interference.

Is anyone having the same problem? Do you know how to fix this?

Hi there are several things to check:

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the bluetooth connection/device? Specifically remove the bluetooth device entirely "forget" (this is different than turning off WiFi itself.). Then reinstall.

Do you have any other bluetooth devices running and have you removed them to see if this still occurs (possible conflict)?

The ole pesky question (which really does affect things): are all your apps and OS up to date?

More remote, but still possible: Who is the keyboad maker? Have they released any new firmware?

Are the batteries an off brand or the ones they recommend? Even the slighteset change might affect performance in some bluetooth devices.

Last - how old is the keyboard? Age might also bear.
