We have a new Mac and are trying to copy our old Mac contents onto it by migration assistant. 24 hours on it’s still saying Transferring Your Information and a sliding bar shuttles to and fro. Has it got stuck? What should we do?

Please follow the steps in Setup Assistant and Migration Assistant, if you are attempting a wireless (Wi-Fi) migration this fails about 90+% of the time. If you were doing a WiFi migration, shut down the computer and please follow the steps in the link provided.
