i was given an iPad 2 of a relative that has passed. I do not know there passwords. Is there a way to reset without them?

Just forget this almost 11-year old iPad.
It is a completely obsolete and unsupoorted deviice for a few years, now.
Apple stopped supporting it in 2016 and all third party app developers stopped supporting this iPad by 2018/2019.
No more support. No more apps.

Okay so there is no way to get his information off. Even if I bring it to an Apple store ,or certified dealer.

As written in the support article I posted, for security reasons,Apple requires and verifies legal documentation before they can assist with a deceased person’s account.
