USB SuperDrive power

I'm trying to connect my USB SuperDrive to my Mac Air using a MOKin drive bar, but the USB Drive will not respond-says it need power-any suggestion?

New MacBook Air M2 - External Hard Drive Not Recognized on New Mac I recently got a new MacBook Air M2. I have an external hard drive that the new Mac will not recognize. The external drive still works on my old Mac. It's not the drive, it's not the cable. I have connect other external drives and they work. The Finder 'External disks' option is selected. Suggestions?

Disk Utility won't load disks Disk Utility is timing out on loading the disks and stalling the Finder. I have 1 internal and 4 in an external enclosure. I had to reboot or log out to get the finder back after relaunching it. Any ideas? I'm on Mac Studio M1 Ventura 13.0.1

Connect it directly to your Mac with a simple dongle like this one:

Works fine for me on multiple Macs.
