Text scam?

I received the following text message from someone and I’m guessing it’s a scam to somehow gain access to my phone in real-time, as this person has done this to someone else before (gained access to their phone in real-time). I’m not sure if the other person received this message or not. I also know the person who sent this to me would not reach out for help at this time so this feels like a canned text message. The text says “Apple” but there is no Apple logo, nothing about this feels right. Thoughts? Anyone seen something like this before? Thank you!

Hello, Not_This_Time!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! We understand your concern about this text message you have received. We want to ensure you have the answers and support you need. To become an account recovery contact, a friend or family member first has to invite you. When they send the invitation, you see a notification in the Messages app on your device.

To see more information about this process, you can look over the information on this page: Help a friend or family member as their account recovery contact. Have any of your friends or family members advised you that they have Set up an account recovery contact and added you?

Also, in the future, if you get any other messages that appear to be spam or phishing, you can find out how to report them here: Block, filter, and report messages on iPhone.

We hope this information helps you out.

Take care!
