Ah, so this is downloading for the first time into your iTunes Library.


The information in the article that you came from (Redownload music - Apple Support) should still be applicable. You need to scroll down to the third section (beyond the two irrelevant sections), to the heading Redownload music in iTunes on your PC.


  • If you purchased the music on your computer, using iTunes, then you should already be signed into your Apple account. If not, sign in again (with the same Apple ID that you used to make the purchases)
  • The next two steps are in reverse order compared to Apple's suggestion:
    1. Select Music from the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of your iTunes
    2. Now click on iTunes' top bar menu Account/Purchased, which will open the appropriate part of the store, showing you anything that is not in your Library
  • You should now be able to download the songs you have purchased
