Hourly Chimes Stop Working Randomly

So I've found chimes through the Apple Watch. Currently have the SE version.

I found it to be an incredbily useful feature, as someone with ADD, time tends to slip by me when I'm lost in a certain activity. I found myself using it way more than I've anticipated and have been able to gauge my work or play time just through it.

It worked for around a week, but then just sort of stopped. I'm not sure I messed up the settings somewhere, or something didn't sync up correctly.

I've gone through the settings, both through the clock settings AND accessibility settings. Turned them on and off, several times. No go. I've restarted the watch, unparied it, then paired it again, synced it up.

Everything else is fine. I get notifications for pings, for Discord, for Youtube, for calls, everything pretty much ok. Regular haptics feedback works just fine. All except for the chimes. Chimes would give haptic feedback every hour, and a bell sound. Now just, nothing, out of nowhere.

Is there any reason for this? Did I happen to do a sequence of actions that caused this feature to bug out? I know it's such a small feature, but, I really did use this feature a ton, and found it alot easier to gauge time through it. I literally spent 10 hours in my day looking this up through Google, going through different articles and even some forum posts here in the community. Nothing. There's absolutely nothing.

I hope someone has already tried asking this and found an answer, because this is becoming increasingly annoying. I can go on without it, but it literally changed the way my day worked, even just for that week, for the better.

Last post on this.

This seems like a slight oversight.

If you prevent your iPhone and AW from syncing focus statuses, and just keep the watch from being in ANY focus mode, the chimes resume as normal.

Chimes just don’t seem to function under ANY focus mode. The solution was to swipe up on the watch and just deselect the purple icon if it’s on. Resumed as normal.

Ive spent an incredible amount of time just troubleshooting this simple issue only to learn from an app that I’ve likely had silent mode on.

Im still new to the iPhone and watch, so the notch for it wasn’t something I even knew about, especially with a case hiding it during normal use.

A bit disappointed no one could even give me even the slightest suggestion it was the case. 😕

Even then it stays inconsistent.
