No Bluetooth devices showing up on iPod Touch 3rd Gen

I recently upgraded to an iPod Touch 3rd Generation from my 1st Gen and was eager to try out the bluetooth connectivity, but I've run into a problem. When I turn on Bluetooth on the ipod it searches but never finds any bluetooth devices. My Macbook and my Phone can see my iPod, but my iPod cannot see my MacBook, my Phone or my Motorola HK200 headset.

My headset will pair and work with my MacBook and my Phone, so I don't believe it is the fault of the headset. I've tried waiting, I've tried turning the bluetooth off and then on again and I've tried restarting the ipod all to no avail.

How can I resolve this?
