Playlist Songs Disappeared Overnight

I created a playlist in Apple Music and most of the songs disappeared at some point between yesterday evening and this morning. The playlist itself was created in the iOS app on my iPhone. When I finished the playlist yesterday evening I had 300+ songs and when I got home I checked that the playlist had synced to both my iPad and my computer. I even created a thumbnail icon that synced across the devices as well. When I tried to play that playlist this morning only nine songs were left and it just so happens that those nine songs are songs that I had purchased via iTunes many years ago. Do I have to re-create my playlist from scratch or is there a way to find the playlist and restore it?
