Mac Book Pro Battery Issue

I recently began having a problem with my Mac Book Pro. I will use it, the battery runs down, but not dead and I shut it off. When I go to start the MBP later, nothing turns on and it says my battery is dead. No big deal. I plug it in and it starts fine but the battery % starts at where it was before. It used to do it at a really low percentage (below 20%), but today it did it at 40%. I dont have to leave my mac plugged in either, as soon as it turns on I can unplug it and it runs just fine. I know there was a battery recall, but I dont think it was for my model. I plugged in my serial number and it said it was fine. Its a 2017 MacBook Pro.
