can anyone talk to Siri or does Siri have to recognize the voice?

I have purchased a HomePod mini and waiting for it's arrival. I was just wondering can anyone in my house ask Siri anything as well? I am the only one in my house who uses apple products, I just want to make sure that everyone in my house (or anyone who visits) is able to ask Siri anything. We have a google home mini in our kitchen and anyone is able to ask it anything.

Yes, Siri on HomePod should answer requests from anybody, but it should only take personal requests from the owner. See Make Personal Requests on HomePod - Apple Support and Set up voice recognition on HomePod mini or HomePod - Apple Support.
