There may be a couple of reasons messages have disappeared.

If you have Messages toggled on in Settings > [your name] > iCloud, then delete messages on a different device that is also iCloud Messages enabled, those changes would be made on all devices.

You can also check to see how long messages are set to save under Settings > Messages > Keep Messages.

Beyond that, we'd recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly for additional assistance.

We see you're attempting to locate a text from a couple of weeks ago, but it is missing.

If you have a recent backup of your iPhone, you can restore it from that backup to recover the missing text.

• Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Otherwise there would be no options to restore a missing text outside of a backup.
