keychain access multiple websites

This question is not asking how to have multiple accounts on a single website.

I am trying to find a way for keychain access to use the same login for multiple websites.

My work login works over several domains. When I change my work password I have to change the password in each Keychain Access entry. In 1password I can enter multiple URLs for a single entry meaning I can change the password once and it changes everything for me.

Hoping this functionality exists in keychain access so I can stop paying yearly fees for at least one piece of software.

That's the problem in a nutshell.

There are a few domains I log into where keychain needs to have entries for foo.com, login.foo.com, customer.foo.com, and so on, when they are all the same back end account so they are all the same login name/password, they're just being accepted by different front end URLs.

I know in some educational domains I'm familiar with they have sites:

machine1.foo.com … machine99.foo.com

where machine[n].foo.com is the site name for Keychain but they all use the same back end credential database, and n is determined at connect time on a round-robin basis.

It would be handy if Keychain had a checkbox where you could tell it the same keychain entry should apply to any host in the foo.com domain, but that obviously opens up security holes of its own where an attacker gets access to one system and sets up their own login server on the compromised machine on the corporate network.

Fundamentally it seems a bad idea to use the same psswd on multiple sites.
