Magic keyboard (A1644) keys stopped working (ASDFGHJKL)

I bought a magic keyboard that was damaged, in hopes to try and repair it. I'm aware that it's relatively difficult, if not impossible to repair hardware faults on these keyboards, but any advice would be helpful! The keys that have stopped working are all in one row (ASDFGHJKL). The other keys in that same row (; ' \) all work fine, along with return, and caps lock. I'm relatively comfortable with hardware repairs, but am just hoping for some advice or ideas on where to start?
