Ringtone and Text tones

Does anyone else have trouble assigning ringtones and alert tones? When I want to change an text tone it will automatically assign it to the ringtone and vice versa. It takes me about three to four attempts before it finally assigns it correctly.

Now with latest IOS 17, I try to change text tone, I can’t see all of my ringtones and can only see a few that were considered alert tones on along with basic apple tones. How to switch a ringtone to a text tone? I purchased a text tone and selected “use as default text tone,” but it is only available in my ringtones. It’s less than 5 seconds long and is not suitable as a ringtone. I purchased again and tried “done” to choose later, and it is still only in my ringtones. Could I at least have my money back from the tones store if this glitch can’t be fixed? Each purchase cost $1.29 and I make less than a living wage. Please help!

Ringtone/Text tone issue. I recently upgraded my iPhone to the 15 pro from iPhone 10. I set my custom ring tones on my new phone and they only show up on my ringtone section. Now, my biggest issue is since they aren't showing up in my text tone option. I decided to test a theory and bought a ring tone. When I PURCHASED the new ringtone it asked me if I wanted to set it to a text tone and I said yes.. Now here's the problem, it did not set as a text tone. It is ONLY showing up as a ringtone. It is very displeasing to go through this. Please tell me this is a bug and I didn't just waste money on something I can't use as a text tone.

Please rethink what you do at the fourth attempt, which clicks.

If this has happened only once then please ignore and if this is persistent then please restart the device.

This has happen many times before and even on my iPhone 7 Plus.
