Changing format to word 2007 in TextEdit

I have a document saved already in TextEdit using rich text but I want to change the format to word 2007 how do I proceed?

Open the file in Pages and export as a Word document (.docx or .doc)

From TextEdit, hold the option key and select "Save As…" from the File menu. Select Word 2007 file format.
