firefox for el capitan

Old MacBook Pro. Must use El Capitan to run Photoshop CS4. I have read that Firefox 78 will run on El Capitan. But when I search for a download site, one of two things seems to happen. Either the site indicates that I am getting 78 but I actually get 96 or I am directed to the long Mozilla list of past Firefoxes: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

If I click on 78.0.1 I get a further list of about 20 links. One of them is mac/. Clicking that gives another list of links. I am getting nowhere on downloading Firefox 78 or some other Firefox that will run on this MBP. Help greatly appreciated.

If you know that v78.01 is compatible with El Capitan, then here is the ESR (Extended Support Release) version for macOS. Just select the language/region you want to access the download link (the language/region use two character codes):

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/78.0.1esr/mac/

For English US:

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/78.0.1esr/mac/en-US/

Another option would be to use a Chromium based browser such as Vivaldi or Google Chrome which is still supports macOS 10.11 El Capitan (probably not for too many more years though).
