New smaller USB ports on the iMac desktop
Non of my external devices now fit into the new smaller USB ports on our new desktop. Is there an adaptor for this?

Yes, plenty on Amazon etc. Look for a USB-A to USB-C adapter. You could also get a hub which will give you more sockets. I use one manufactured by Ugreen.
Also, many of the vendors who supply external devices now ship two USB cables with their product. One has the same older connecters on both ends and the other is a newer version with the smaller USB connecter on one end. So, you can buy an adapter or a replacement cable that works.
You need USB -A to USB-C adapters.
