Unable to get Siri to pronounce last name

I can't, after multiple attempts, get Siri to pronounce my last name correctly. I've gone through all the editing in the contacts app AND done multiple "pronunciations" of the name (which is not hard to pronounce). I even took the advice of having Google Assistant (which learned the pronunciation with minimal effort) show me the way to type in the pronunciation. However, Siri still insists on pronouncing it incorrectly. I love my IPhone but Siri is so dumb...

Please try to change the Siri Language and try again. You will notice the English language itself has many versions and so do many other languages. Settings > Siri & Search > Language

The accent is captured from the keyboard that you have.

I had the same issue. To fix it, say "Hey Siri, change pronunciation for [YOUR NAME].

Thanks, Cappiedog11. I tried that as well and since I'm on iOS 15, Siri says I can only change it in the Contacts app. I do that but to no avail...

Thanks but it's an English (well, Irish) name and I have my keyboard set to English (Canada) where I am from. It's a very simple pronunciation of the name but the spelling is a little wonky. There's really no accent to speak of and even if it's set to English (US), I have the same problem. Thanks for the reply though.
