Hi,

Any printer listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support should be compatible with macOS High Sierra. With an AirPrint-model, one would not have to install drivers, provided that the printer and the computer are connected to the same network.

Depending on driver availability, other models may be compatible as well.

A printer manufacturer may also provide special software (for setup, ink management, or similar purposes) with higher system requirements than what is needed for printing per se.

If you already have a printer, you could perhaps post the make and model. Someone here may or may not be able to suggest a way to make it work with the operating system in question.
