external floppy drive

Is there an external floppy drive that an M1 Macbook Pro (Silicon Mac) running

OS 12.2 will recognize?

I bought one on e-Bay that allegedly words on both PCs and Macs but

only works on my old mid-2010 Macbook Pro running El Capitan.

My current (this) Mac doesn't recognize the drive at all. It may be a question

of whether the drive is self-powered or not

Perhaps there are no '64-bit drivers' for any floppy disk drive anymore.

[Maybe nothing back there now, to be compatible with.]

Can't imagine there would be support for floppy drives. 3.5" or 5".

Would be suspect, too; if someone said they had drivers for one.

A few external floppy drives show in above search.

The fact that my old Macbook Pro can recognize the external floppy drive allows me to transfer

files imported into that machine and transfer them to my new Macbook Pro via USB, e-mail, or

even by burning a CD.

The original material is generated on an Amiga which, sadly, is presently not on the wi-fi network

which connected my Apple devices, hence my desire to be able to read floppy, Zip, or Jaz

disks.
