Small thumbnail, poor quality videos

I’ve seen others post about this but have yet to find a solution. Sometimes videos that I send to other iPhone users and receive (both 1-1 and in group chats) compress to a tiny thumbnail or the video quality is absolute garbage.

My phone is updated and I’ve tried powering it off already.

Why are the videos I receive from other Iphone users varied in size and clarity? I have an Iphone 7plus. I recently did the newest update 12.3.1 and ever since I have been having issues with the videos I receive via text message. I believe its only an issue if the user sending me a video has an Iphone X. The videos are very small, almost thumbnail size, they don't get much bigger when actually clicking on it and the clarity if awful, the videos are not even viewable. Is there something in my settings that can help resolve this issue? Or is there a way for me to revert back to the previous version I was using?

Screenshots and video recordings are blurry when sent on Whats app As you can tell from my title, screenshots and video recordings are blurry when I send them on social media. Low-Quality image mod is turned off and I am running iOS 13.1.2. Social media apps are updated.
