Calendar invitee not an option

My friend was able to send me a calendar invite via email from her iPhone calendar. Why don’t I have ‘invitee’ as an option on my

calendar ?

When I create a calendar event and try to send it to him, it appears as an email as opposed to a calendar invite. He can send me calendar invites which I can accept, decline etc, that go directly on my calendar. Would like to be able to send invites that do the same

Adding Google Calendar invites to Calendar app I have received an event invitation from Google calendars via email (gmail account). I can open the file attached "invite.ics" on my iPhone and it's displayed as a normal iphone calendar invite, but I can't find a way to accept it and add it to my iPhone calendar. Can anyone explain to me how I can accept Google Calendar events and have them added to my iPhone calendar app please? (First asked here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251377922)

Calendar It appears I must have an Internet-based calendar in order to send calendarcc invitations from my iPhone. Is this correct?

Where are your calendars? See the picture below.

Open the email account that hosts your calendar.

Disable and enable the calendar.
