Messages don't mirror between iPhone and watch

I have an iPhone (XSMax) and Apple Watch (series 5). Both are up to date on the OS. I have Messages turned on in my iCloud account. Even though I have Mirror iPhone checked on the Apple Watch OS, it doesn't. When I delete a message from the iPhone, it doesn't delete from the Apple Watch. Many of my messages are just one time access codes as I have 2FA turned on for a lot of my online accounts. So texts just accumulate on the watch and then when you try to delete them, you can only do it one at a time from the watch unlike the iPhone where you can select edit and do many at a time. I am tempted just to turn off Messages on the Watch but can't figure out how to do that either.

no problem , yeah I did once commented that to a apple advisor over a phone call and since they make the watch and iMessages across all devices does not delete in all when you delete them in one device so they call like your own or self backup if you think you had something important that delete by accident and we have other devices then we can get those important messages saved in other devices
