Battery drain while sleeping (MBP 16", 2019 on Mac OS Monterey)

When I no longer wish to use the Mac, I usually click "Sleep" and then close the lid; the next day, early morning, the battery has totally drained. This started happening after I updated to Mac OS Monterey 12.2.

Any insights that could be helpful?

Thanks!

Although marked as solved, this issue certainly is not solved until Apple releases a proper macOS update with a fix. It has been a few days since 12.2. Drained batteries on macs connected to bluetooth devices is an insane waste of power and not acceptable. This certainly should warrant a hotfix update which has so far not been distributed.

Yes, this issue is far from being solved.

Not only is this a problem with overnight battery drain, it also happens (of course) during the day whenever the MBP sleeps. One should not have to keep toggling BT on and off, keep recharging, keep shutting down and rebooting. Am about ready to say goodbye to Apple and hello to…

Based on my experience about the only problems I ever have to troubleshoot with Apple are sleep problems. Its been going on for 20 years. This problem affects a lot of machines and really should have been caught before release. I also am thinking of leaving Apple. I should have had a hotfix to download this morning. They are supposed to be a green company. So sleep should be high on their priority for testing.
