Apple TV movie not playing back

Hopefully you can see the image... wth Apple, it's literally the display of the laptop... I have nothing plugged in and have never plugged in an external monitor. New MacBook Pro 14 inch with notch.

AppleTV app video's not playing; only audio. So I was watching a series on my monitor which is plugged through an HDMI cable connected to a USB-C adapter to my MacBook Air (2021 M1). All was good when suddenly video just stopped playing and instead I got a black screen, but audio was still playing without issues. Whenever I unplug my monitor, everything's fine but if I want to watch it again on my monitor it just won't let me. I don't know why it just stopped working. I can play any video on any streaming site but if I want to watch it on my Apple TV app then it's a different story. Anyone know how to fix this?

TV App Shows Black Screen Playing Movie Mac Mini Hello Everyone, I just purchased my first ever Mac Mini M1 and am loving it (and at the same time kicking myself for not buying an Apple computer earlier). I am having a problem with the TV app on my Mac Mini. Whenever I play a movie (purchased through Apple/iTunes), I can hear the audio, but I can't see video. The app opens the window for the movie, but it's just a black screen. I am running three LG 24MK600M-B 24" monitors. One monitor connected directly via HDMI, another using a USB-C to HDMI adapter, and the last using a StarTech USB32HDPRO USB3.0 to HDMI external video card. All monitors are working fine but the video won't show on ANY of the three monitors. However, if I am watching Netflix, or any other video, it plays fine on any monitor. I have tried some google searches, but so far nothing seems to work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Here's a few details about my system in case it helps Mac Mini (M1, 2020), 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD, macOS Big Sur ver11.4

Black screen on AppleTV app with sound with second monitor on MacBook Hi, I have a Mackbookpro 13' on BigSur, and I use it with two secondary screens. All works fine, but I cannot use the Apple TV app since I can only see a black screen when I launch it, even if the movie goes on and I can hear the sound. When I do not use the secondary screens, the Apple TV works fine instead. I can see movies on Netflix or Prime VIdeo, but not on Apple TV when the secondary screens are connected to my MacBook. How can I fix this? I did not have the same problem with my old MacBook pro with Catalina. Thanks.

HDCP is a essentially a handshake copy/protection. Movies that aren't of the same format of the iTunes store will not play on the AppleTV. MPEG-4 AAC or MPEG-2 are the best formats for video. It does not show where you downloaded the film from.

You may simply find the AppleTV needs to connect via ethernet to your modem/router as WiFi has difficulty with some HDCP.
