CAC card not reading after Monterey update on MacBook Air M1
My CAC card was working fine until the last OS update with Monterey. Is there another update forthcoming to fix this issue?

I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you, but you might try researching this site: https://militarycac.com/macnotes.htm
It is as comprehensive a resource as I have been able to find. I'll save you the time looking for Monterey-specific information though; I wasn't able to find any. It seems different CAC card readers have different requirements, so see if you can find one for your specific device.
Edit: Here's a better and much more recent Discussion: CAC Reader no longer works after Upgrade to Monterey. Forget the one I posted earlier.
If Barney-15E doesn't have an answer I don't know who might. That Discussion seems applicable. Perhaps you could try another browser or try erasing Safari's website history and stored data: Manage cookies and website data in Safari on Mac - Apple - Apple Support.
Hi John, yes, I've tried all of the instructions on militarycac but nothing seems to work. No problem, I can use my work computer at home with VPN and I also have a Windows PC that still works fine. All of a sudden after Monterey the CAC is no longer reading the certs. I bought a new CAC reader and it still does not pick up the certs from the card. Maybe the next update will fix this issue. Thanks for the help.
