Using iPad Apple Pencil with iMac to draw sketches and calculations for email or text transmission

I have an iMac Pro desk top, late model. I have an iPad Pro, even later model with Apple Pencil working on it. I want to use the iPad as a tablet and connect it to the iMacPro desktop so I can send engineering sketches and various calculations done with the Apple Pencil on the iPad via the desktop and it's capabilities. In addition, I am subscribed to PhotoShop, so it would be good if I could use the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil with photoshop via a USB connection. I have seen some on line videos using a pad app called "Duet". I hear there are others, but I want something that is functional and efficient. I once bought a Wacom Tablet and threw it away as it did not have any kind of on screen visual feedback and was therefore a piece of junk. Can anyone advise? Thank you

Hi there Clay Hall,

We understand you're wanting to use your iPad Pro and Apple Pencil with your iMac Pro. We have a resource that can help.

Check it out here: Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac

Specifically, the section below may help:

"Use Apple Pencil

To point, click, select, and perform tasks such as drawing, editing photos, and manipulating objects on your iPad while it's extending or mirroring your Mac display, you can use your Apple Pencil instead of the mouse or trackpad connected to your Mac. You can also use it to write, sketch, and mark up documents while seeing the updates live on your Mac.

Sidecar also supports double-tap, which you can turn on in System Preferences. Double-tap enables apps that support this feature to perform custom actions when you double-tap the side of your Apple Pencil (2nd generation)."

Regards.
