Calendar Alerts

Apple I’ve had this problem for years now. When I put an event in my calendar and I set two reminder times it always put the shorter amount of time first. Let’s say I have an alert set for 1 hr before and then 30 minutes before. The calendar puts the 30 minutes in the first alert and the 1 hr in the second alert. I will never get that 1 hr alert only the 30 minute one. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
