turns off after 50% of battery

macbook air 2020 (i3) enters sleep mode after reaching 40-50% of battery. it wakes up after connecting to the charger. what is wrong?

MacBook does not wake up when not plugged in (battery at 50 percent) My 2017 MacBook Pro regularly does not wake up from sleep mode, although the battery is around 50 percent. It just shows a red "plug in" symbol. When I plug it in for a second, it wakes up and functions normally, even when unplugged again after a few seconds. Any help would be much appreciated, as having to "kickstart" the MacBook (i.e. the need for power and a power adapter) is very inconvenient. Thank you!

Macbook Pro - power issue on waking I have a 2017 Macbook Pro that is having a strange issue - if the computer has maybe half or less of a charge on the battery, and then goes to sleep, whenever I wake it up again on battery power it will almost immediately (a few seconds) go back to sleep. Then when I push the power button it shows the graphic that indicates the battery is dead and needs to be charged. However the battery is not dead, and when I plug it in and start it back up it confirms that there is still a good amount of battery left. If I start from 100%, I can use the computer on battery power all the way until it is essentially dead, so I don't think this is the battery. It only happens after waking up from sleep with a partial charge. Any ideas? It's a big issue when I'm working away from the office.

wake from sleep battery level false reading, shuts down When I wake my MacBook Pro from sleep it starts up, I login then it goes dark. I tried pushing keys and the power on button to get it back on but i get the red no power icon with the red plug. I plug it in and press the power on button until it restarts. Power level is fine, 47% the last time this happened. Very annoying! Is this an indicator of problems. MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) I have a 1TB flash solid state HD.
