Hello,
I have a 3rd party email that I've always been able to open the attachments on. Suddenly those attachments won't open. I use Safari to access the email. The attachment for this particular email opens fine on my iPhone and my iPad.
I've talked to the service rep for the 3rd party email and was still unable to get an answer.

Start up a Mac with Apple silicon in safe mode
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > Shut Down.
After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds.
Press and hold the power button on your Mac until the startup options window appears showing available startup disks and Options.
Select a startup disk.
Press and hold the Shift key, click Continue in Safe Mode, then release the Shift key.
To leave safe mode, restart your Mac normally, without pressing and holding any keys during startup.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

One of the files is a doc and the other is a pdf.
They are not graphics.
I've opened both of them multiple times, and suddenly they will no longer open, unless I switch to a mobile interface on the 3rd party email.
Is there an extension for that file?
Was it Graphics before?
Thanks so much for the suggestion. I eventually had to contact Apple Support and chat through the issue and they suggested the safe mode start as well. It is good to know why that helped!
