Deleting/removing album covers in music on iphone

I have an ipod, iphone and iwatch 7. Everytime I put new music on my ipod I remove the albumcovers and that always works. A few weeks ago when installing my music on my new iphone and iwatch there were suddenly a whole lot of album covers visible? I checked my itunes library but they are not there! How come they are on my phone and watch and how can I delete them? Is there an adjustment/update that made that happen?

iPhone SE, 14

Hi Inge1965,

First, test the behavior after restarting your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If this is music that you synced from your computer, then it would be great to test after re-syncing the library again. To do so, connect the iPhone back to your computer, uncheck the songs in your iTunes library, and then choose the option to apply/sync. The music will then be removed. You can then re-check the music and click apply/sync to sync your library back.

If the issue persists after re-syncing the music, then it would be best to reach out to Apple Support directly for assistance with the behavior: Get Support

Cheers.
