Screenshot doesn't quit

I can't get the screenshot window to close. Does anyone else have that issue?

Can't close screenshot window I can't close the window that comes up after I take a screenshot and click on the screenshot preview. Nothing happens when I click the x in the upper left hand corner, when I click done, or when I click the garbage button. Also, there's no force quit option to close this window. This is the window to which I reference. Thank you

Screenshot cannot be quit without restart When I use the Screenshot utility, I'm unable to get it to exit or close after doing so. I add the screenshot to photos as per my usual workflow, which previously closed the screenshot / sent it to the bin. Any ideas?

Screenshot window will not close/ operate When capturing a screenshot with cmd + shift + 4, the window appears and once I share it with Photos, I cannot close the screenshot window. I can still edit it, and if I put it on my iPad, I can close that (but not the window on my MAC). The only way to close is to quit the activity. Nothing shows as an application running to force quit. This just started recently, and I am not sure why. OS was updated recently to 12.1 but I cannot say that is the issue for sure.
