How can I get the battery cycle count of a Mac if it has been factory reset

I am trying to sell my MacBook Air M1 and a potential buyer would like to know the battery cycle count. But I already factory reset the device. Can I get the cycle count without setting it up again?

Maybe.

Before you set up a new user for the sole purpose of extracting that information, boot macOS Recovery, and select Terminal from the Utilities menu.

At the Terminal prompt, type

system_profiler SPPowerDataType | grep "Cycle Count"

If you have to set up a new user for that temporary purpose, and subsequently erase that Mac all over again, be sure you do it right: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support.
