Iphone 13 camera oversharpens images, how to fix this?

Many people have pointed this out but iphone 13 terribly oversharpens pictures with it's post processing.

Before taking a picture it looks more natural. Sometimes it gives "oil paint" pixel like effect when taking pictures in low-light.

Before there was smart HDR option to turn off before I updated my ios to 15 version which removed this feature completely. I have sent feedback to apple as well. I have upgraded myself from Iphone 6 and trust me it took way much better selfies especially in natural lighting.

Anyway to fix this?

iPhone 13, iOS 15

Hi, I am not talking about the video but picture quality.

I have seen many discussion around this in Apple forum but the picture seems to be oversharpened later in it’s post processing.

Many have suggested to turn off smart HDR which seems to be responsible for this.

There was “smart HDR” option before to turn off in Camera under settings, however after updating to IOS 15 Apple has completely removed this option.

someone suggested turning it to “HEIF” reduces the oversharpening effect in post processing, others are suggesting third party paid camera apps.
