2012 Mac Mini - external ssd

I am trying to use an external ssd in a HAGiBiS model MC25 hub. The hub has a USB C connector so I have tried an adapter to USB A, a UBS C to USB a cable, and a USB C to dual USB A cable - no success. The hub front USB connector ports all are fine so is there something I am missing? I have tried with 2 different ssd units (WD and Samsung) so I am a little confused. I don't see them if I plug this into a PC either so is it a "mounting issue" or "format" thing? Thanks

Your 2012 Mac Mini only has USB 3.0 posts and does not support that Hagibis USB-C Hub.

I have a couple of SSD's in USB 3.0 Sabrent enclosures and they work fine with both of my 2012 Mac Mini's.

Actually a better option for the 2012 Mac Mini, is to just replace the internal 2.5" HDD with a SATA 2.5" SSD.

FWIW one of my 2012 Mac Mini's runs a PNY 960GB SSD, the other runs a Crucial 1T SSD and both have been fast and rock solid for many years.
