Microphone software issues

I can’t hear anything or be heard on any type of call on my phone. I can’t make any voice notes or record any audio at all. I thought it was a problem exclusively with my phone, but I know of another user with the same phone having the same issues. I’m not sure if apple is aware of this extremely inconvenient problem or if they aren’t working on it as we speak. This has been more than s month now and it’s really inconvenient. Can someone help me please?
