My 6 series watch will not stay “on” after recent sw update. I have to tap the face or press the crown

My series 6 Apple Watch will not stay “on” after recent sw update. Arm motion has no effect; I must tap the face or press the crown to get the time. Was working fine before the software update. Any solutions?
