Why doesn’t it appear w other apps? Have to type w e for it to pop up.

Probably because you removed it from your Home screen; alternatively it is somewhere on your Home screen you haven’t looked, or in a folder. When you search for it, if it is in a folder the folder name will appear next to it. But you can always go to the App Library (the last page of the Home screen, where you can find it by looking or searching, and drag it to another page of your Home screen.
