Key board shortcut of pressing space bar to check or uncheck boxes under drop down list not working in Excel

After clicking on drop down list within a filter, I cannot use the space bar short cut key to check or uncheck the boxes. I am using Microsoft 365 office. I would be glad to know if there is a shortcut key for the same to check or uncheck the boxes from keyboard.

Excel shortcuts Hi, some excel and powerpoint keyboard shortcuts seem to have stopped working and I am guessing that I've accidentally changed a setting somewhere but I don't know which setting and where to find it. As an example, in excel the shortcut 'shift + space' selects the row and this works fine. The related shortcut 'control + space' USED TO select the column however stopped working one day and there is now no action that happens. So far as I can tell all of the other shortcuts that I typically use e.g. 'control + u' to edit a cell, 'control + command + v' for paste special etc continue to work as they always have. What have I done!!!!?

Moving a blank cell in Excel on my MacBook Air Hi, Just an unimportant (but annoying) issue I'm having using using excel on my Mac... When I move to a blank cell (using the navigation keys on the keyboard) and then hit 'enter', I can obviously start typing in the cell. The problem comes though, when I want to edit a cell that already has text in it. When this happens, I use the navigation keys to move to the cell, I hit enter, and the the text in the cell is deleted! Is there a key I can hit (or a combination of keys) instead of 'enter', that will bring the cursor to the end of whatever is already in a cell so that I can add to it or edit it? (I know I can use the mouse or trackpad to click into the cell but I am looking for a way to do this on the keyboard so that I don't have to keep returning to the mouse constantly). Thanks! excel drop down menu does not work when I clicked drop down menu, such as color, the menu showing choices did not appear like it used to be.
