Some Bluetooth Speakers not Connecting to MacBook Air

I recently bought Boat Stone 180 bluetooth speaker to connect with my M1 MacBook Air, but after a lot of attempts to connect it, it was getting disconnected instantaneously. The speaker connected with all other devices I tried with. I first thought that the unit was defective, so I replaced it with a new one which again had the same issue. Getting frustrated by it, I finally returned that speaker and bought a new MIVI Roam 2 bluetooth speaker and surprisingly, it also faced the same issue while connecting to my Mac. I tried it with an iPhone too and it connected normally.

I surfed online to find out some solutions. One was to Reset the bluetooth module which I tried by writing the following command in the terminal, which didn't work for me.

sudo pkill bluetoothd

Other was to delete the bluetooth.plist file and restarting the mac which didn't work either.

So I am unable to find an effective solution for this problem anywhere and I am tired of trying to connect the speakers to my Mac.

Please help me fix this thing.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2

We understand that Bluetooth speakers are not connecting to your Mac, so we'd like to see how we can help. Let's try testing the issue in safe mode. This will start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents some software from automatically loading or opening, which could help narrow down the cause of issue. This article will walk you through the steps: How to use safe mode on your Mac. If you're able to connect the speaker and stay connected, restart your Mac normally and test it again.

To further isolate the behavior, create a new administrator account to see if you're able to connect the speaker: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac. This will help with determining if the issue is specific to one user account.

Cheers.
