US Argon locked policy

I’ve been using an iPhone 12pro max thru a power sim/ geve sim. I’ve tried to unlock the carrier, upon checking it online on websites like imei info etc it says that it’s locked on us argon locked policy, I’ve never heard about such thing and neither can I find it online. I need help

That happens to be illegal in every country on the planet.


No idea what "argon" is referring to.

I'm guessing it's a device sold by a US retailer other than Apple that will lock to the first US carrier used.

Call AppleCare and give them the serial number. They may be able to tell you who it's locked to.


ONLY the carrier it is locked to can unlock it.
