Pretty self explanatory, there is nothing wrong with my card, I don’t have any other credit cards. So I cannot change my payment method, nor do I need to. Why is Apple discriminating against me for having my card declined? I don’t owe Apple any money, and my card is active. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Amazon and Apple do not share information. You must have a valid payment method on file with Apple to use the App Store.
Whether they communicate or not is not the issue. There is nothing wrong with my card, there is money in the bank. The garbage Apple interface keeps telling me my card is declined, but
A. I don’t owe anything to Apple, so other than the declined Amazon subscription why did this all of a sudden change?
B. I’m not trying to buy anything, there is no reason for the card to be declined.
C. I have money in the account, if I did want to buy something I should be able to do that also.
D. You should not need to have any kind of payment method at all to download something that is free. If they want one on file, ok sure. But when you are downloading something FREE!!!!!! The most you should have to do is put in your password.
This is a complete bull crap way for Apple to control people, penalize them for being poor, and making the mistake of buying a super restrictive, trash phones that are designed to get worse with age just to make people buy new ones every 6 months.
