How do I recover my mac.com password?

Is that your Apple ID password?

If not what are you using that mac.com for?

The password would be the same as @me.com or @iCloud.com

Can you log into www.icloud.com with a known password which would be the Apple ID and Password.

Can you log into https://appleid.apple.com/

So are you saying you have more than one (1 ) Apple ID ?

To compare - I have had and only ever had One (1) Apple ID. The Original had my e-mail address was a .mac.com address. Then, some year later offered to use a @me.com address, then again Apple offered an @icloud address.

Through all this change my Apple ID and Password remained the same. I can send and receive e-mail addressed to any of the three @mac.com or @me.com and or @icloud.com and the single password works for them ALL.

That password is my Apple ID password.

Now, I I had more than one Apple ID I would therefore have more than one Password

Last attempt and after that suggest contacting Apple Support

Refer to below picture. I have 3 e-mail addresses listed and the Top Most is associated & specifically for my Apple ID

If you have similar setup and listing, it would appear you have chosen the @me.com to be used for your Apple ID.

The Password Recovery issue for the @mac.com it entirely not needed and is only complicating the matter.
