Mysterious Kernel Panic

Can somebody please help me solve this kernel panic problem?

I have a new 2021 16" M1 Pro MBP that I've had a number of problems with since receiving it with great expectations and excitement 2 months ago. I'm updated to macOS Monterey 12.2 and the only real peripheral I use is a "My Passport For Mac" external drive for Time Machine Backups. I run this MBP in "clam shell" mode with a wireless Magic Keyboard, mouse and 2 LG 4k monitors.

My MBP is crashing and restarting at least 1-2x/day, but I cannot figure out the cause or conditions that are making it happen. I tried to find the crash reports in the Console app, but they are not there. Weird. So, I waited for it to happen again and just copied the report into a Pages document. (see the text I copied and pasted from the report below).

Here's what I've done so far...

(1) Updated all my 3rd party apps.

(2) Ran Disk Utility on my Macintosh HD. Everything was good.

(3) Ran Apple Diagnostics. Hardware is basically good.

(4) Ran Disk Utility + First Aid on my external drive in Recovery Mode. It found some issues, but was able to repair them.

What else can I try?

Thank you for your help,

Cary

If you have any speeder-uppers, Cleaners, Optimizers, Virus Scanners, it could cause problems like this.

<< KERNAL PANIC REPORT

panic(cpu 0 caller 0xfffffe00184666e4): "LLC Bus error from cpu0: >>

if none of that stuff is installed, that appears to be a hardware error, and a serious one. One of the high performance (FireStorm) processors referenced an address not in the memory map at all. You may have a Bad processor.

You will need help from Tech support on this one

Grant,

thank you so much for your quick reply. The only software I can think of that might fall into the category you mention is CleanMyMac. I’ve used it for 4-5 years and have found it to be quite helpful and reliable. I can never recall a time CleanMyMac caused a problem this severe on my previous MacBook models.

Do you still think this a hardware issue I should take to Apple Support?

You need to completely remove cleanMyMac, and never re-install it. Your results are now highly questionable.

The idea that your Mac needs ANY cleaning, and that a third-party knows more about how Apple is somehow "holding out on you" is absurd.

I did not suggest that you take it to Apple. My suggestion is that you follow the steps in that link, culminating in a call to Apple support. They will check all the possible other things that could be causing an issue like this, then hopefully send you to a second-level support expert.
