Slow transferring apps and data to new iPhone 12 pro

I initially set up this new phone by transferring data from my old iPhone 8. It seemed to be finished and I recall getting a message on the new phone that I could now reset the old phone and finish the installation from iCloud, so I did that.

I’m logged into my iCloud account on the new phone but the app installation has stalled for several hours. The majority of apps say “Loading…”. I have a strong wireless connection.

Thoughts? Here’s a screen shot.

Just let it stand. Avoid restarting. If there is GBs and GBs of data, then it will take a while. If you are restoring from iCloud, it will take a while (as it is coming from servers).

I powered it off and on and that seemed to speed things up. I also went through key apps and selected “prioritize download” and that seemed to help not only that app, but others as well.

Wait it Out:

It will take some time. So, you'll just have to wait ti out. Do not interrupt it. Place it atop a laptop cooler, until all is completed.
