How can I lock location from getting turned off on my child’s phone? I can normally see it in “Find My”, but it wouldn’t show up the other day and I’m not sure why. I know sometimes he turns off cellular data to save it, but I don’t know if that would turn off his location?

I think I saw a setting where I can lock cellular data changes or something similar, so I will try that. Do you know if there is a specific setting where I can prevent location being turned off? & if so, where I might find it?

If you use Screen Time, then you can change the settings as shown below on your child’s iPhone.
Open Settings ➡️ Screen Time ➡️ Content & Privacy Restrictions ➡️ Location Services: Set this to Do Not Allow.

If there is no Wi-Fi Network available to connect and the Cellular Data is set to OFF, then the iPhone will be unable to broadcast its location. You, therefore may not see your child’s iPhone location.

I don’t have this setting and I found another thread that uses teen in the subject line that was complaining about similar with no actual resolution.
There is no Location Services in the screen time menu. The closest one to it is Privacy/Share My Location.

Did the solution work as I don’t have Location Services on Share My Location??
