iPhone X and Bluetooth Static in Car

Hello: I have an iPhone X and while making a call through the wireless bluetooth in my 2015 Range Rover Evoque there is intermittent static on the opposite end. Meaning, I can hear the person I'm calling fine, but the person I am calling can not hear me without a clicking sound. The sound has been described as typing or morse code. When I use my iPods or any other device with my iPhone X I do not hear the noise. I have unpaired & re-paired my phone to my car and it did not fix the problem. This issue started less than one year ago and my mechanic can not find a solution or problem. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello boardalicious,

We definitely want you to be able to take calls in your car without the extra noise and we're happy to help. First, can you tell us if the issue occurs when another phone is connected to you car? This will allow you to isolate the issue to the device or the car.

Also, let's complete the steps listed here: How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car to try to resolve the issue. Although the article is listed for connecting to the car, the steps would be the same for the issue you are experiencing.

Best regards

Hi Karina, Thanks for your reply. The issue is intermittent, so using another iPhone won't really help determine if its my phone of the car, but yes, I've tried with other phones and have not had the issue. I also don't have an issue 100% of the time w my iPhone. I tried the steps you have listed above two times before reaching out and it did not fix the problem :(. Do you have any other recos? Thanks! Lisa
