Stocks App not picking up a changed ticker/company name

Hello, noticed my stocks app is not picking up a changed ticker/company name.

The company in question is Royal Dutch Shell, symbol RDS-B, or RDSB.L which changed its name to Shell PLC and ticker to SHEL or SHEL.L last week, as reflected in pretty much any investment information service eg yahoo finance.

The stocks app on iOS or OSX both seem not to be picking up the change though, with neither of the new tickers available when searching for them, and the old tickers still there with a last price available on 28th Jan.

Was wondering whether its a cache issue at my end, or an apple issue.

For reference, Shell is one of the largest companies in the world, so its not an obscure company!

Ditto, but there is good news today. If you previously had RDSB.AS (trading on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange) you will need to replace it, adding SHELL.AS instead. This new symbol is now available in the app, though I believe all this data is provided by yahoo so that’s where the delay may have resided. Hope this helps!
